♫ Before joining Avenged Sevenfold, Arin played at home and at church, but hadn't played in a band in a couple of years. "I went from the day job to playing arenas," he says.
♫ Arin found out Avenged Sevenfold were auditioning for drummers from The Rev's ex-drum tech, Mike Fasano, who texted him.
♫ Arin auditioned alongside two other drummers. I was already a fan of the band so it was very intimidating," he says. "It was really hard to step up."

♫ Arin hung back during the recording of Hail To The King, his first Avenged album. "I wanted to contribute, but I knew the guys had a particular vision," he says. "The style of drumming and music was totally new to me. So I just listened, paid attention and tried to deliver."
♫ Initially, Arin was worried he wouldn't live up to The Rev's ability, "He set such a high bar, so to come in and play something totally different and more spaced out that Avenged played before was a challenge," he says, "I've never had as hard a challenge before."
